2023 was an incredible year for gamers. While it's gonna be hard to top, January 2024 is already looking stacked with some big game releases and remakes we've been waiting a long time for.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is throwing it back to the franchise's OG 2D days, but with a focus on combat coolness. Set on Mount Oaf and inspired by Persian mythology, this game brings back the classic side-scrolling style with a 2.5D modern twist. You’ll need to be quick to parry enemy attacks or they’ll eat up your measly 3 health bars if they connect.

Another Code: Recollection - Nintendo Switch

If you've got a knack for solving mysteries, Another Code: Recollection is a game to watch. It's a revamped version of two Nintendo classics, and you'll step into the shoes of Ashley Mizuki Robbins on a quest to find her father on Blood Edward Island.

What's new? More puzzles and fully explorable environments to get lost in. Don't worry newbies, they game has added some optional hint and navigation systems to keep you on track.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered - PlayStation 5

Binged the TV adaptation and want to know what happens next? This is the game that the second season will be based on. With a new rogue-like survival mode called No Return, Lost Levels with developer commentary, and all sorts of graphical enhancements, this PS5 version is a must-play. The Tekken series is making its debut on the latest gen PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The first fighting game built on the Unreal Engine 5 engine, this brawler introduces the Heat System and Rage Arts, which give you greater control over your character and allows you to use aggressiveness as a tactic. There’s also a new single-player Arcade Quest mode too.

The latest instalment in the long-running “Like a Dragon” franchise is a direct sequel to the hit 2020 game Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The turn-based gameplay has been improved, but the best part about this series is the wealth of side content.
