Sennheiser's latest flagship Momentum true wireless earbuds are now available in Singapore. The Momentum True Wireless 4 and the Momentum Sport featured the latest Bluetooth and wireless audio capabilities and were enthusiastically received when they debuted at CES 2024.

Momentum True Wireless 4

Sennheiser’s flagship earbuds have had a significant refresh, though the earbud design remains the same as the Momentum True Wireless 3 (the White and Black colourways have been refreshed to White Copper and Black Graphite).

They have many of the same features, like Transparency Mode, Active Noise Cancellation, Qi Wireless Charging, Smart Pause, and IPX4 splash resistance.

Built on the latest Qualcomm S5 Sound Gen 2 platform with Snapdragon Sound, the Momentum True Wireless 4 supports aptX Lossless as well as aptX adaptive audio, enabling CD lossless audio quality over Bluetooth 5.4, which has a higher sustainable data throughput than its predecessor, as well as Bluetooth LE Audio with LC3, and the Auracast broadcast feature in an upcoming firmware update.

An improved antenna design and Sennheiser’s TrueResponse transducer technology ensure stable signal continuity and low latency while on the go. Hence, users enjoy a natural experience while working, playing, and travelling.

You can keep conversing, as Sennheiser’s renowned Active Noise Canceling system has been further enhanced with a six-microphone array to improve voice pickup and react to environmental noise.

An adaptive equaliser also monitors the frequency makeup of incoming audio streams for a more consistent sound across audio genres such as videos, podcasts, and games.

At the same time, the popular Sennheiser Sound Personalisation, Sound Zone, and Sound Check features are brought into this new generation of hardware via the Smart Control App (iOS and Android).

With a revised ear tip and nozzle design, the MTW4 will let audio enthusiasts lose themselves in the evolved tuning of the earbuds. A smoother treble response accompanies extensive bass and effortless midrange performance, typical of Sennheiser’s audiophile headphones.

The MTW4 also offers up to 7.5 hours of continuous audiophile-inspired listening — extendable to 30 hours. The charging case quickly charges up to one hour of additional listening from just eight  minutes of charging. The USB-C charging case integrates Qi wireless.

The Momentum True Wireless 4 is now available from sennheiser-hearing.com and selected Sennheiser retailers for an MSRP of SGD449. They come in three colourways: Black Copper, Metallic Silver, and Black Graphite.

Momentum sport

The Momentum Sport is Sennheiser’s first sports-focused true wireless earbuds under the brand’s premium Momentum family. In a novel move, Sennheiser has added a PPG heart rate sensor and body temperature sensor into these earbuds for real-time performance tracking.

Sennheiser claims that the inner ear is an excellent location for temperature and heart-rate readings, with the Momentum Sport able to detect body temperature with a +/- 0.3 degree Celsius accuracy.

With integrated three-axis accelerometers, the Momentum Sports is fully integrated with the Polar Vantage V3 multisport watch and the Polar Flow training ecosystem, as well as a host of popular sports devices and apps, including Apple Watch/Health, Garmin Watch/Connect, Strava and Peloton.

Momentum Sports has a semi-open design that provides environmental awareness so that users can stay alert while out and about.

Apart from Transparency mode, anti-wind mode and adaptive noise cancelling ensure that the Momentum Sports can be adjusted to match the noise environment its user is in, while Bluetooth 5.2 supports aptX Adaptive, AAC and SBC codecs, so users can enjoy an outstanding audio experience while they exercise.

For Singapore’s hot, humid and wet tropical climate, the Momentum Sports is IP55 sweat & water-resistant and will easily survive a jog in the rain, while a shock-proof chassis takes the bumps of a vigorous workout.

A wide selection of interchangeable ear fins and clog-resistant ear tips ensure that users will always enjoy a secure, comfortable fit for prolonged training sessions, while the IP54-rated carrying case stores an additional 18 hours of battery life to give users up to 24 hours of audio between charges.

The Momentum Sport will be available from sennheiser-hearing.com and selected Sennheiser retailers from April 9, 2024. It will have an MSRP of $479 and come in three colourways: Polar Black, Burned Olive, and Metallic Graphite.
